WELLINGTON COUNTY – A local agriculture organization is looking to recognize someone’s contribution to the industry.
The Wellington Federation of Agriculture (WFA) has announced its first ever Wellington County Agricultural Community Award.
A social media post by the WFA said the award is aimed at recognizing a person who has made significant contributions to the agricultural industry in Wellington County.
Nominations are now open and at least one nomination letter should be submitted outlining the achievements and contributions of the nominee with the application form.
The nominee must be a resident of Wellington County. The recipient will be announced at the WFA’s annual meeting on Nov. 1. Deadline to submit a nomination is Sept. 1.
