Wellington County driver faces drug charge in Saugeen First Nation

Officers located a controlled substance during a vehicle search on Saturday afternoon

SAUGEEN FIRST NATION - The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop which led to four individual's facing charges. 

On July 27, 2024 at 3:45 a.m., the Grey Bruce OPP were patrolling Pashwood Drive in Saugeen First Nation and observed a vehicle that was drawing a trailer without lights. Police conducted a traffic stop on the motor vehicle. Through investigation the police found that the driver was a prohibited driver. During a search of the motor vehicle, a controlled substance was located.

Gregory Martellini, 44 years old of Wellington County, was charged with the following: operation while prohibited under the criminal code, possession of a schedule I substance.

Barry Diamond, 51 years old of Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation, was charged with, possession of a schedule I substance - opioid (other than heroin)

Noodin Cameron, 26 years old of Saugeen First Nation, was charged with, possession of a schedule I substance - opioid (other than heroin)

Chase Grimoldby, 28 years old of Saugeen First Nation, was charged with, possession of a schedule I substance - opioid (other than heroin).

All accused parties are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton on Aug. 28, 2024.
