CENTRE WELLINGTON — On Oct. 19, 2024, at approximately 12:45 a.m. officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Wellington County Detachment were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Albert Street West, Fergus.
During the operation, a vehicle was stopped, and the driver was assessed for sobriety. As a result of the investigation, a 27 year-old from Fergus was charged with:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80 plus contrary to the Criminal Code
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice - Guelph, On Oct. 19, 2024.
