GUELPH/ERAMOSA TWP — The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charge a Rockwood resident in relation to an impaired driving arrest
On Feb. 27, 2025, at approximately 7:45 p.m., a motorist attended the south Wellington County OPP Operations Centre on Wellington Road 27 in Rockwood. The motorist was looking to speak with police regarding an unrelated matter.
Police spoke with the driver and as a result of the investigation, Michael Jonathan Evans, a 29-year-old of Rockwood is charged under the Criminal Code with: Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph on March 11, 2025.
