38-year-old charged in intimate partner violence investigation

TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH — On Feb. 28, 2025, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a Chatsworth resident in relation to an intimate partner violence investigation.

On Feb. 28, 2025, at approximately 7 a.m., members of the Wellington County OPP were dispatched to a report of an assault in Arthur.

As a result of the investigation, a 38-year-old of Chatsworth is charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with:

  • Assault
  • Mischief
  • Uttering Threats-cause death or bodily harm
  • Fail to comply with probation order

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s).
