TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH — On Feb. 6, 2025, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a local resident in relation to an intimate partner violence investigation.
On Feb. 6, 2025, at approximately 9 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP were dispatched to a report of a disturbance at an address in the Township of Wellington North.
As a result of the investigation, a 43-year-old of Wellington North Township is charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with Assault.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph at a later date.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s).
