Looking for a fun night out and a chance to help an important organization in your community?
Look no further, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Centre Wellington (BBBSCW) Big Night Out Gala is just around the corner!
“Our waitlist for boys to be matched to a Big Brother is currently 2.5-3 years long,” explained BBBSCW Director of Community Relations, Ashley Winterburn. “We know that’s too long a wait. This event, our biggest fundraiser of the year, will help us move that timeline up and help more children, faster.”
The goal for the Big Night Out is to raise $100,000, according to Winterburn. With loads of fun for everyone, it looks like the event should be able to do just that.
“The theme for this, our tenth annual Big Night Out Gala, is Lassos and Lace,” laughed Winterburn. “Folks are encouraged to come dressed up in their finest Western gear and saddle up for some fun Western-themed games, fantastic auctions, a multi-course dinner and lots more excitement and enjoyment!”
Also on tap is a specialty drink made especially for the event, the Dirty Dutton.
“We have amazing silent and live auctions, and an incredible raffle with a fantastic travel experience as the grand prize,” enthused Winterburn. “The GrandWay Events Centre is the perfect venue for this special evening, and staff are preparing a wonderful four-course meal for all of our lucky attendees. We know it will be delicious!”
The Big Night Out Gala, Lassos and Lace, is happening Saturday March 29, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at The GrandWay Events Centre.
Tickets include entry into the event, multi-course dinner, and access to participate in auctions and play fun western games throughout the night. Tickets are $165 per person and can be purchased through the website here.
Winterburn added, “This year more than ever, we need your support in raising much needed funds to continue our vital work in providing mentoring programs to foster healthy youth development and empowerment.”
She finished, “This is our biggest fundraising push of the year, and we need the help of the wider community to help us alleviate the financial and organizational struggles since COVID-19. We look forward to seeing our community come out for our tenth annual Big Night Out Gala, March 29!”
