Serious injuries reported in Tuesday's three-vehicle crash on Gore Road

PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP - Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a multi-motor vehicle collision in the Township of Puslinch yesterday afternoon.

On Oct. 8, 2024 just after 3:30 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP, Puslinch Fire and Rescue Service, Paramedics from Waterloo Region, and ORNGE responded to a report of a three-motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Gore Road and Wellington Road 35, Puslinch Township.

One person was transported by ORNGE to a trauma centre with serious non life-threatening injuries. Other drivers sustained minor injuries and were not required to be taken to hospital.

The intersection of Gore Road and Wellington Road 35, Puslinch Township was closed for a period of two hours and has since been re-opened.

As a result of the collision, a 77-year-old from Kitchener was charged under the Highway Traffic Act, Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act and the Tobacco Tax Act with the following offences:

  • Careless Driving causing bodily harm
  • Possess unmarked fine cut tobacco
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Offences Court - Guelph, at a later date.
