TOWN OF MINTO - It has now been three years since the abduction and death of a Kitchener man. Police are continuing to investigate this as a homicide and are calling on the public for assistance.
The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit, under the direction of the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), continue efforts to find those responsible for the death of 43-year-old Jason John Brown.
On March 12, 2019 at approximately 6:30 p.m., police received a missing person report for BROWN, who was last seen on Jessie Street in Harriston Ontario. The next day his body was located north of Whitby, near Stevenson Road and Durham Regional Road 5. At that time, a homicide investigation commenced.
Investigators wish to speak to anyone who may have seen any suspicious vehicles or activity within the area of Minto Township on the day of March 12, 2019. Police believe there may have been individuals at or near a local cemetery during the incident around 6:30 p.m. You or someone you know may have seen or heard something that could assist the investigation.
