CENTRE WELLINGTON – A Centre Wellington resident is dead following a two-vehicle collision outside of Elora Tuesday morning.
An OPP news release said emergency services responded just after 7 a.m. on Wellington Road 21 near Fourth Line East in Centre Wellington to a two-vehicle collision.
Police report a car and minivan, both occupied by lone drivers, collided head on. They were transported to a local hospital where an 18-year-old Centre Wellington resident was pronounced deceased. The other driver has been airlifted to a Hamilton hospital for their injuries, believed to be non-life threatening.
The cause of the collision is being investigated.
Wellington Road 21 between Wellington Road 7 and Sideroad 4 are expected to be closed for several hours.
