Ditched vehicle leads to impaired charges in Minto

MINTO — On Jan. 1, 2025, at approximately 8:45 a.m. an officer from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Wellington County Detachment attended a call for service for a single motor vehicle in a ditch on Minto Road, in the Town of Minto.

As a result of the investigation, a 23-year-old from Drayton, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80 plus contrary to the Criminal Code

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice - Guelph, on Jan. 17, 2025.
