The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a break and enter / theft. Suspect unknown at this time and we're seeking assistance from the public.
On March 10, 2025, at approximately 8:00 a.m., the Wellington County OPP were dispatched to a report of a break and enter / theft which occurred at a local business on Main Street South with Mount Forest.
It was determined that on March 10, 2025, between 5:30 a.m. to 7:59 a.m., an unidentified suspect shattered the lower pane of the front glass door, granting access to the business. The suspect then ransacked the interior, leaving with an amplifier and electric guitar and fleeing northbound on Main Street.
The suspect was described as:
- Believed to be male
- Dressed all in black
- Wearing a backpack (guitar allegedly stored / sticking out of the backpack)
The estimated value of the stolen property is $350, with the cost of the repairs to be unknown at this time.
The investigation is continuing.
We are urging the public to come forward with any information in relation to this matter; including any dash camera or door cam footage through the area around the time of the occurrence.
