Teen charged after being found passed out in running vehicle

Police say drug paraphernalia was seen inside the vehicle

An Eden Mills man is charged with impaired driving after being found passed out in a running vehicle in Guelph Tuesday night.

Approximately 8:15 p.m. emergency services were called to a business near Gordon Street and Harvard Road after employees located a male slumped over in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle behind the business. The male was roused by paramedics but continued to be drowsy. Drug paraphernalia was observed inside the vehicle.

At the hospital, officers noted the man was showing signs of impairment and kept dozing off. An 18-year-old Eden Mills man was arrested for impaired operation and samples of his blood were taken for further analysis.
