Disturbance call leads to charges for Clifford resident: OPP

Police say the 38-year-old was uttering threats

TOWN OF MINTO — The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) criminally charge a Clifford resident, stemming from an uttering-threats investigation.

On Jan. 4, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Wellington County OPP were dispatched to a report of a disturbance at an address on Elora Street North within Clifford.

On police arrival and as a result of the investigation, a 38-year-old of Clifford was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Uttering threats - Cause death of bodily harm

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
