DAVIS, Joanne Kathryn (nee Weicker)

October 8, 1935 - June 18, 2024

Passed peacefully in her home surrounded by love on June 18th at the age of 88.

Survived by her devoted husband Peter Davis who loved and adored her.

Loving mother of Jeff Davis(Shelley) of Sooke BC, Jill Stoddart(David) of Fergus, and Andy Davis of New Zealand. Grandmother to Peter (Samantha), Toni(Tray), Brian (Sabrina), Artemis and Hailey. Great-grandmother to Alex, TJ and Ruby.

Also survived by sister-in-law Doris Weicker and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her sister Dorothy Sindall (Don) and brothers Howard and Ken (Helen).

2nd only to her family, Joanne’s passion was music. She shared this gift first as a school teacher, and then as a music therapist. Joanne was a past member of the Fergus Brass Band and the New Horizon’s Band.

Special thanks to Jan, her longtime PSW, who provided so much support to both Joanne and Pete in her last few years. Many thanks to the HCSS staff and Bayshore nurse Sam, who helped make her last few days very peaceful.

As per Joanne’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
