Fergus Whalers

The Whalers won twice this past weekend on the road and on home ice.

Saturday night saw Fergus get a 3-2 victory over the Kincardine Bulldogs at the Davidson Centre.

The team followed that up with an overtime win against Highway 6 rivals the Mount Forest Patriots with a 4-3 win at home in the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex.

It will be another two game weekend coming up for the Whalers, first on the road in Mitchell against the Hawks and then at home Sunday afternoon taking on the Walkerton Capitals.

Mount Forest Patriots

It wasn’t all losses for the Patriots as the team won in a shootout against the Hanover Barons on Saturday night at home, making it a 3-2 game for Mount Forest.

The team plays three times over the upcoming weekend, first on the road Friday for a rematch with the Barons. Mount Forest has home ice on Saturday evening for a game against the Wingham Ironmen before hitting the road again to Goderich Sunday evening.

Elora Rocks

The Elora Rocks’ home opener is on Friday against the Tillsonburg Thunder. The game starts at 8:30 p.m. but there is a kick-off party and BBQ starting at 7 p.m. with live music by DJ Spenny and an after party with country artist Jessica Sevier.
