ELORA ROCKS

The Rocks winning streak came to an end this weekend.

Elora made it four straight wins on Friday winning a close game 8-7 against the Dunnville Aeros. The team couldn’t make it five as the Rocks fell short against the Aeros 8-5 the next day on the road.

The team takes a break this coming weekend and returns on Oct. 25 to once again face Dunnville on home ice.

FERGUS WHALERS

Fergus’ winning streak was also stopped this weekend.

After starting the season with three wins, the Whalers lost to the Walkerton Capitals 3-2 in an away game on Friday. Fergus followed that up with a win over the Kincardine Bulldogs 4-2, also in an away game.

Fergus plays a rare Wednesday game at the P and H Centre in Hanover against the Barons before heading back home for its usual Sunday afternoon game at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex for a match-up with the Goderich Flyers.

MOUNT FOREST PATRIOTS

Mount Forest’s Friday game against the Wingham Ironmen was postponed and the team lost to the Mitchell Hawks at home on Saturday 4-2.

The team plays at home twice this weekend on Friday and Saturday against the Flyers and Capitals respectively.

ERIN OUTLAWS

The Erin Outlaws play their first game of the season on Saturday in Ripley against the Wolves.

MINTO 81’s

Last year’s OEHL champs play their first home game against the Durham Thundercats on Saturday.
