ELORA – The next home game for Elora’s senior hockey team will be a fundraiser going towards sarcoma research in support of SickKids.

The second-place Elora Rocks will be taking on the Western Ontario Super Hockey League’s (WOSHL) first-place Alvinston Killer Bees on Friday evening at a special game in support of Team Addy.

Team Addy raises money for sarcoma cancer research for the SickKids Foundation named after and in memory of Addy Hill, a 14 year old from Elora who died from a rare cancer in 2022.

According to an Instagram post from Team Addy, the organization has raised over $520,000 since 2022.

The Elora Rocks said in a social media post for guests to arrive at 8 p.m. for the pre-game festivities and opening ceremony.

There will also be raffle tickets on sale until the end of the second period with winners announced at the after-party featuring local musician Kyle Burton.

Tickets are available at the door.
