The Town of Erin is proud to announce the launch of its refreshed municipal brand design and logo, an exciting milestone that reflects both our rich history and a bright future.

This fresh and contemporary evolution of our Town's visual identity is the result of public feedback and the creative expertise of Toronto-based branding agency, Trajectory Brands Inc.

The updated logo is a powerful symbol of Erin's identity – an identity rooted in our “agricultural heritage”, our “small town charm”, and our unwavering “commitment to the environment.”

“The new brand is designed to resonate and connect with residents, businesses, and visitors alike, while maintaining a strong connection to Erin's rural charm and historical roots, all the while reinforcing our commitment to being a modern green community,” said Mayor Michael Dehn.

A key element of the new logo is the subtle, yet meaningful, representation of the amalgamation of Erin and Hillsburgh. The overlapping elements in the brand create a "hidden" heart at its core, signifying the unity and strength of our community as we move forward together.

The branding exercise cost $20,000 and was long overdue, added Mayor Dehn.

“Our marketing and branding materials had not been updated in years and were becoming outdated. We had several styles of logos, with no clear marketing guidelines or standards in place. This was becoming problematic and inefficient for Town staff. This refreshed brand now allows us to tell our story in a consistent, modern, and professional way,” said Mayor Dehn.

The refreshed colour palette that accompanies the logo reaffirms the town’s dedication to sustainability and environmental stewardship. Shades of green, inspired by lush landscapes and agricultural heritage, highlight Erin’s ongoing commitment to being a "green

community.” This palette design not only reflects our natural surroundings, but also symbolizes growth, renewal, and a vibrant future.

“Erin's refreshed brand reflects our town's mission and vision. Our mission is to be a welcoming community, rooted in rural historic agricultural charm, while embracing a dynamic tomorrow. This mission guides everything we do, from fostering community connections to ensuring that our Town remains a place where families and businesses can thrive,” said Councillor Cathy Aylard.

The new brand will soon be on display prominently on a new water tower later this month in the Erin Glen residential development that is currently under construction. Town staff are currently drafting a roll-out strategy for the new brand that will be implemented in phases over several years across all departments as the old brand is phased out.
