New OBGYN joins Groves Memorial Community Hospital

Dr. Sagrika Basu has joined the Groves hospital team as an OBGYN.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Groves Memorial Community Hospital (GMCH) announced a new staff member on the team focused on women’s health. 

GMCH said in a press release Dr. Sagarika Basu has joined the Groves hospital team as an obstetrician/gynecologist (OBGYN) to deliver newborns and offer specialized gynecological care to women. 

Basu earned her graduate degree in medicine in India and completed OBGYN training in the United Kingdom. 

“Dr. Basu brings valuable experience in obstetrics and gynecology to Groves including high risk pregnancies, operative deliveries including caesarean sections, gynecological surgeries like laparoscopic hysterectomies and more,” the release said. 

“She is passionate about improving women’s health in the community. Dr. Basu has moved to Fergus along with her husband and two children.”
