Single vehicle crash leads to impaired charges in Erin

ERIN – Police say a motorist faces impaired driving charges after a vehicle crashed on the weekend in Erin.

On Sept. 28, at around 2:45 a.m. officers from the Ontario Provincial Police Wellington County Detachment were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision on Side Road 17, according to an OPP news release.

After an investigation, a 24-year-old from Caledon was charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired - Alcohol and Drugs contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Operation While Impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80 plus contrary to the Criminal Code

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph at a later date.
