Palmerston resident faces charges following intimate partner violence investigation: OPP

TOWN OF MINTO — The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charges a local resident with two criminal charges in relation to an intimate partner violence investigation.

On Jan. 9, 2025, at approximately 7 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP were dispatched to a report of a disturbance at an address in Palmerston.

As a result of the investigation, a 38-year-old of Palmerston, has been charged under the Criminal Code with the following:

  • Dangerous operation
  • Uttering threats - cause death of bodily harm - spousal

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph at a later date.

The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victims.
