OPP look for video footage in Mount Forest fires investigation

It’s thought the early Sunday fires caused over $1 million in damage

Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police are asking for public help as they investigate two suspicious fires in Mount Forest early Sunday.

Emergency crews were called to a storage building on Sligo Road West just before 3 a.m. Soon after, a second call came in about a car and shed fire on Cork Street.

No injuries have been reported but it’s thought the fires caused over $1 million in damage.

Police are hoping someone may have surveillance or dash cam footage that could help them in their investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
