TOWN OF MINTO - The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating after a suspicious fire was reported in Palmerston over the weekend.
On Dec. 14, 2024 at approximately 3 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP, along with local fire services responded to a report of a fire at the Lions Heritage Park within Palmerston, involving one of the wooden train cars catching fire. There were no injuries as a result of the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and the Wellington County Major Crime Unit has now taken over the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing, and updates will be provided when available.
