Update: 10:13 a.m. OPP report the incident happened shortly before 8:37 a.m. There were no injuries and police believe one of the vehicles involved lost control as a result of poor weather, but the investigation continues. A heavy tow was on the way mid-morning to help clear the roadway.

A big road closure to watch out for just outside of Fergus.
West Region OPP posted on X that Wellington Road 18 is closed between 5th Line and Wellington Road 26.
That is the stretch of road between Simpson Corners and the entrance to the Belwood Lake Conservation Area.
No details have been released on how many vehicles were involved, or if anyone was hurt.
An estimated time for reopening is not known.
