Erin - As police continue to investigate arson at a subdivision under construction in Erin late last month, they’re asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspicious vehicles.

Town residents, specifically those of the Erin Glen subdivision and along Wellington County roads 50 and 124, are asked to check their surveillance camera and dash cam footage for two suspicious vehicles believed to be linked to the investigation.

The hours of footage run from 11 p.m. on Sept. 26 to 1 a.m. on Sept. 27, which is when two separate fires damaged or destroyed eight homes under construction. Damage is estimated in the “millions of dollars.”

The suspicious vehicles are a black, 2023 Honda CRV EX-L and a grey coloured Land Rover-type of vehicle.

Anyone with information about the arson is asked to call Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Details can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-888-8477 or online at www.cstip.ca.
