Charges laid in sexual assault investigation in Minto

28-year-old also charged with break and enter to commit an indictable offence, forcible confinement

TOWN OF MINTO – Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid several sex assault related charges against a Grey Highlands resident.

On Aug. 23, the OPP say they began an investigation in response to a report of a sexual assault at an address in the Town of Minto.  

As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old resident of Grey Highlands has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Sexual Assault,
  • Break and Enter Dwelling House to Commit Indictable offence
  • Forcible Confinement

The accused has been held in custody pending a bail hearing, the OPP said in a news release.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and Petrie-Shaw is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
