Brampton driver charged after police stop suspicious vehicle in Minto Township

The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charges Brampton resident with two Highway Traffic Act offences.

On Dec. 4, 2024, at approximately 1:15 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP Traffic Unit were performing a traffic enforcement initiative when they detected a suspicious motor vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on Wellington Road 6 within Minto Township.

As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old from Brampton was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • speeding 1 - 49 Km/h over posted limit
  • careless driving

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Offences Court - Guelph at a later date.
