Crash leads to impaired driving charges in Erin

TOWN OF ERIN - The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charge a Caledon Village resident criminally stemming from a single motor vehicle collision.

On Jan. 28, 2025 at approximately 7:30 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP attended the scene of a single motor vehicle collision on Main Street within the Town of Erin.

As a result of the investigation, Bruce Coxhead, a 66-year-old of Caledon Village, is charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

There were no injuries as a result of the collision.

A 90-day administrative driver's licence suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph on Feb. 11, 2025.
