Kim Margirite Snider went to be with the Lord on July 4, 2024.

Kim is predeceased by her father Arthur in 2018 and her mother Joan in 2022. Kim is survived by her siblings Mark (Sharon), Denis (Charu), Maryann, Tom (Jane). Nieces and nephews, Shawn (Ashley), Matthew (Sarah), Jason (Arlene), Luke (Sarah), James, Andrew (Megan), Katrina (Ben), Nicole, Leah, Arjun and Anuj. She also leaves 11 great nieces and nephews. Kim was born in Kitchener on September 17, 1956. She is the middle of the 5 siblings. The family moved to Fergus in 1965. Kim excelled in sports during high school and was named female athlete of the year at Center Wellington District High. Kim attended Waterloo University studying Kinesiology. Midway through university,

Kim took a year to go to Capernwray Bible College in England. This is where her love of travel began. Kim came home from England and completed her degree in Kinesiology at Waterloo. After graduation, Kim worked as a substitute teacher for a year in the Center Wellington area. Kim then moved to Okinawa Japan for 2 years where she lived and worked teaching at a Christian School on a US military base. While in Japan Kim traveled whenever she could. After she moved back to Canada Kim taught at Havergal College. Kim then went to work at HSG (Health Systems Group) where she rose through the ranks to retire as president. Kim lived in South Hampton for 22 years before moving back to Fergus to be closer to Mom after Dad passed.

Here she was able to purchase her dream home – a century old stone house. Throughout her life, Kim has been mentor to many people. She has been an incredibly generous daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt and friend. Kim’s love of travel often included her mother or sister. Kim loved to cruise and did many throughout the years, the most recent few to South American and the Mediterranean. When not cruising, she would travel to various locations such as Australia, Portugal, Spain, France or Italy enjoying the cultures and relaxing. Sadly, in September 2023 Kim was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She fought the disease with the same determination and tenacity she faced life with, determined to enjoy whatever time she had left. Her greatest joy has been her family and her closest friend Brian. She will be missed.
