It is with broken hearts that we announce the death of our beloved husband and dad, Dan Reeves. Loving husband of 25 years to Tara (Dickinson) and the best dad to Tyson and Darla. Dan had a courageous five year battle with cancer, where he fought with strength and resilience; and his ‘keep on keeping on’ attitude!
Dan was born on April 29, 1961, in Brantford Ontario. He was predeceased by his parents, Les and Edna Reeves. Dan will be dearly missed by his sister Donna Reeves (Larry Halls), his nieces Amanda (John) and Britney (Mitch), his nephew Brydon (Allie), and his great nieces and nephews Oliver, LJ, Rhylan, and Ava. Dan was a loved son-in-law to Frank and the late Sheila Dickinson, brother-in-law to Shane and Alison Dickinson, and uncle to Blake, Clarke, and Dane. Dan will be greatly missed by so many extended family members and friends, especially his best buddy, Paul.
Dan was a community man and knew so many people through the arena while working for 20+ years for the township. He most enjoyed his last few years helping out with the Thistles lacrosse and Whalers hockey teams.
Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Dan's life on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM with words of remembrance at 5:30 PM, at the Elora Royal Canadian Legion Branch 229, 110 Metcalfe St, Elora, ON. Memorial donations can be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to Graham A Giddy Funeral Home (280 St David St S, Fergus, ON, 519-843-3100).
