December 31st, 1968 - November 4th, 2024
Kevin Edward Ure Hammond in his 56th year, passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, November 4th, 2024. Loving and caring husband of Janice (nee Carter) and devoted father of Kaleb and Kohen. Predeceased by his parents Don and Carole Hammond. Proud son-in-law of Don and Carol Carter. Fondly remembered by his brother Shawn (Gooch) and his wife Dayle. Brother-in-law to Joanne, Brad (Leanne) and Julie. Very proud uncle to Caden, Kennedy, Hailey, Alison, Megan, Lauren, Ashlyn and Ella.
Kevin served 4 years with the Canadian Armed Forces. He spent 25 years as a proud and dedicated firefighter for the Centre Wellington Fire Department. . He was also a former employee of RR Donnelley (formerly Moores) for over 25 years.
He was an avid Philadelphia Flyers fan, loved being in the kitchen cooking, watching his favorite shows on tv and most of all just being the most caring, helpful, loving husband, father and friend.
Kevin will be fondly remembered and missed by all that knew him.
Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Friday, November 8th, 2024 from 5:00 to 9:00pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 9th, 2024 at 1:00pm.
