September 23rd, 1975 - April 26th, 2024
On Friday, April 26th at 12:16pm, surrounded by her loving family. Megan Jessica Erb (Carere) went home to be in the loving arms of Jesus. Megan was taken home to heaven after suffering complications from a catastrophic stroke. As Megan’s loved ones, our hearts are shattered and weeping that our beloved mother, wife, sister, friend and daughter got taken to her forever home too soon. Megan’s 48 years on this earth were lived to the fullest. She lived her everyday life helping people in whatever way they needed. She loved spending time at home with her family, as well as anything outdoors, going for walks, creating her beautiful garden and vibrant flower beds every spring, or spending time at the family camping trailer at Bear Lake in Sprucedale. Megan’s happy place was the trailer located at Bear Lake, any chance she got, she would pack up and head there with the whole family, or just her and her husband Paul.
Megan’s positive attitude, kindness, and her caring nature will forever be remembered by her family and friends. Megan always put everyone one else above herself and was said to be a mothering personality to many people. Megan leaves behind her five children, Kendell (23), Christina (21), Carlin (20), Clifton (18) and Cameron (17) and her adoring husband Paul (48), her loving future children in law Kendell’s fiancée Maya Deptula, Christina’s boyfriend Austin Zettel, Carlin’s girlfriend Emily Pizale and Clifton’s girlfriend Mielle McKnight, her parents Fred and Christine Carere, her siblings and their spouses Rob and Pauline Carere, Norah Carere, Jonathan and Stacey Carere, Sarah and Chris Plein, Rachelle and Chuck Mckee, Paul Carere and April and George Stokic, her parents in law, Delmer and Mary Erb.
Megan will be deeply missed by her brother and sister in laws as well as her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and her dear friends.
In her early years of her career Megan worked as a PSW in the home care setting, caring for clients with the utmost care and respect. She had her children and was a homemaker for the children’s early childhood years, she home schooled each of them until they moved to their home in Ariss and the children went off to elementary school. Megan taught her children from an early age to love the Lord through hymns, bible verse reading and her faithful attitude. She taught each of them to be kind and care for the people around them. After her children went off to school, Megan then started her cleaning business, which she prided herself in. She enjoyed going from house to house cleaning for people and their families. Her clients soon became her friends and they all loved Megan as if she was their family. Megan was always happy to head off to work in the morning, and be home for the afternoon to tend things at home, decorate her new kitchen (which was her other happy place) and make her family’s house our loving home.
Megan will forever be remembered for her kindness, caring nature, cheerfulness, grace and love for her family and the Lord. Megan had a steadfast relationship with the Lord for her entire life. She and her family attended Elora Road Christian Fellowship, where she enjoyed worshipping the Lord and building relationships with her brothers and sisters in Christ. Megan’s family and friends will love and miss her for the rest of their lives, until we meet her again in heaven.
