ELORA ROCKS
The Rocks got a 6-2 win at home on Friday over the Dunnville Aeros. This was the third time in a row the two teams faced off against each other with Elora winning two of them.
Elora will play against the Delhi Flames twice this upcoming weekend, first at home Friday evening and then on the road Saturday.
The team is second in the Western Ontario Super Hockey League standings with five wins and one loss.
FERGUS WHALERS
The Whalers were all about the goals this weekend with two high-scoring wins. First on the road, the team won 6-2 over the Wingham Ironmen on Friday and then followed that up with a 10-3 win against the Kincardine Bulldogs at home Sunday.
Fergus will head north on Highway 6 for a match against the Mount Forest Patriots on Friday and then will host the Mitchell Hawks Sunday afternoon on home ice.
The team is first in the Provincial Junior Hockey League’s (PJHL) North Pollock division with 12 wins and three losses.
MOUNT FOREST PATRIOTS
The Patriots were also on the winning side of things this past weekend. The team won 4-2 against the Goderich Flyers on Friday and then 6-4 against the Walkerton Capitals on Saturday both on home ice.
Mount Forest hosts Fergus on Friday evening before hitting the road to Kincardine on Saturday for a two game weekend.
The team is third in the PJHL’s North Pollock division with eight wins, three losses and two overtime losses.
ERIN OUTLAWS
The Outlaws won twice over the weekend. First the team beat the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks 6-3 in an away match and then went on to win its first home game of the season 9-2 over the Lucknow Lancers.
Erin has another home game on Sunday afternoon against the Seaforth Centenaires.
MINTO 81’s
The 81’s shutout the Georgian Bay Applekings 2-0 on Saturday in an away game.
Minto has an off week and plays next on Saturday Nov. 9.
