On the ice: big shutout win for the Fergus Whalers

FERGUS WHALERS

The Whalers pulled off a huge shutout win on the weekend. The team had a dominant 7-0 win over the Goderich Flyers on home ice Sunday afternoon. 

Fergus had lost earlier in the week 4-3 against the Hanover Barons on Wednesday. 

The team is at it again this coming weekend, first on the road Friday in Wingham for a match against the Ironmen and then at home Sunday afternoon hosting the Kincardine Bulldogs.

MOUNT FOREST PATRIOTS

The Patriots didn’t get the win on Saturday on home ice as the team lost 4-3 against the Bulldogs.

Mount Forest plays twice at home this upcoming weekend, first against the Flyers on Friday and then the Walkerton Capitals on Saturday.

MINTO 81’s

Minto kicked off its season in a big way with a 9-2 win over the Durham Thundercats on home ice Saturday.

The team is away this coming weekend for a match against the Georgian Bay Applekings on Saturday.

ERIN OUTLAWS

Erin lost its first game 8-4 against the Ripley Wolves in an away game Saturday.

The Outlaws play twice this coming weekend, first on the road against the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks on Friday before having its first home game of the season against the Lucknow Lancers on Saturday at the Centre 2000.
