GUELPH/WELLINGTON – Local food enthusiasts and adventurers now have an all-in-one guide to help plan their experiences.
Taste Real, Wellington County’ local food initiative, has launched the Food Experience Guide: Farm and Food Adventures in Wellington County and Guelph which features information on local farmers’ markets, farm-to-table eateries, farm events, taste tours, craft breweries and more.
A press release said the guide together with the county’s local food map offer ways to learn about local agriculture and rural food destinations and businesses.
“Wellington County offers so many opportunities to access and experience local food,” economic development committee chair George Bridge said in a press release.
“From fine dining and wine tasting to alpaca yoga and sunflower fields, Wellington County is quickly growing one of the most vibrant local food destinations in Ontario.”
The guide is available at all Wellington County library branches, the Wellington County Museum and Archives, local farmers’ markets, Guelph’s Market Fresh and other participating businesses.
