The Town of Erin is delighted to announce the appointment of Jennifer McPetrie to the position of Director of Community Services, effective Oct. 7, 2024.

Jennifer brings over 20 years of extensive experience in the recreation field, having made significant contributions across a wide range of program areas and facility management. With a career in many progressive roles, Jennifer has expertly managed various recreation facilities, including fitness centers, arenas, and pools. Jennifer most recently served at the Town of Oakville as Senior Manager, Recreation Planning and Development, where she played a pivotal role in developing and managing community recreational spaces, including overseeing the successful opening of the newly constructed Oakville Trafalgar Community Centre. Prior to her tenure with Oakville, Jennifer dedicated over 13 years to the Town of Milton, where she honed her skills in recreational programming.

Jennifer's commitment to community engagement extends beyond her professional roles. She has served as Chair of the United Way Employee Giving Campaign, coached youth sports, and been a certified High Five Trainer for over two decades. 

As our Director of Community Services, Jennifer will provide overall direction, management, and administration to the Community Services Department, including parks and recreation, facilities, and cultural services. Her responsibilities will include developing, managing, and supporting strategies, plans, budget coordination, and administration plans, ensuring efficient staffing, budgets, strategic planning, and legislative compliance.
