FERGUS – An annual sarcoma research fundraiser and fun day returns this weekend.
The third annual Team Addy Family Fun Day will see a day full of sports, games and raising money for a good cause at the Centre Wellington District High School on Saturday.
The event runs from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. with activities including but not limited to:
- Games and prizes
- Face painting
- Foods like cotton candy, popcorn and BBQ
- Balloon animals
- Silent auction
- Live entertainment
- Three vs. three basketball tournament
- Three point contest
- Soccer tournament
This year includes a shuttle bus service from the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex
The event is named after the late Addy Hill, an Elora resident who died from a rare sarcoma cancer at 14 years old in 2022.
Team Addy raises awareness and funds for sarcoma cancer research in her memory.
