No injuries reported in Wellington North barn fire

Firefighters are still on scene and are asking the public to avoid the area

WELLINGTON NORTH FIRE

Wellington North Fire, with aid from Minto Fire, are on scene of a coverall shed fire at the corner of Sideroad 6 W and Concession Road 9 in Wellington North Township. Firefighters have been on scene for approximately three hours, the fire is currently under control. Firefighters are working to put out piles of hay that are being removed by an excavator from the barn. No injuries to occupants or firefighters and all animals were removed safely from the shed.

The cause of the fire, as well as any damage estimates, are unknown at this time.

Firefighters will be on scene for a couple more hours, the public is asked to please avoid the area.
