CLIFFORD - Minto council is set to award the tender work of the Clifford Rotary Celebration Square to Roubos Farm Service Ltd. for the total price of $121,900.11 plus tax.
Council will approve the tender at Tuesday’s virtual meeting.
Town staff received two bids for the work: one from Pine Corner Tree Farm Inc. for $199,435.50, and the second from Roubos Farm Service Ltd. for $121,900.11. Staff recommend the latter as they have the lowest bid.
The total cost of the project was budgeted at $110,000. Staff have confirmed funding of $28,123 under the Canada Healthy Communities Initiative and further funding is currently under review.
The town also received contributions from the Clifford Rotary Club, Clifford Firefighters Association and the Town of Minto capital budget. In 2020, the rotary club donated $10,000 towards a gazebo for the square.
