Grove Youth Mental Health Services expands to Rockwood

This initiative provides a much-needed safe space for youth ages 12-26 to connect, participate in wellness activities, and access supportive services

The Grove Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario is excited to announce the launch of a new Sub Hub in Rockwood, expanding access to essential wellness services for youth. In partnership with East Wellington Community Services and the Guelph Eramosa Township, the Rockwood Sub Hub will provide a safe, supportive space for youth aged 12 - 26 to gather, connect, and participate in a variety of activities every other Friday, beginning September 20, 2024.

“We are thrilled to bring our services closer to youth in Rockwood,” says Fran MacDonald, Site Lead- The Grove Erin- Main Place, UOG and Woolwich Sites, The Grove Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario. “This partnership with East Wellington Community Services and Guelph Eramosa Township will provide much-needed opportunities for young people in the area to engage in activities that nourish their creativity and well-being.”

Held at the Rockmosa Community Centre, located at 110 Rockmosa Drive, Rockwood, the Sub Hub will operate from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and offer a diverse range of programming. From creative activities such as Shrinky Dinks, colouring, and crafts to interactive Nintendo Switch tournaments and games, the Sub Hub is designed to promote both fun and wellness. Youth will also have access to snacks and wellness services provided by The Grove’s staff.
