ELORA – A large condominium building on the south side of the Grand River in Elora is set to be finished by the end of 2023.
Sara MacIntyre, Elora Mill spokesperson, said in an email occupancy in the Elora Mill Condos is slated to begin in late Fall 2023 after being under construction for more than a year.
"The super structure of the project is nearing completion, close behind are the rough in and drywall trades," MacIntyre said on where along in the building process the condo is. "I can be safe to say that given the unexpected market conditions of the past couple of years that the team is pleased with the progress to date."
The crane, first erected in mid-January 2022, was intended to be in the Elora skyline for at least a year Macintyre previously told EloraFergusToday. MacIntyre said the tower crane will be coming down mid to late May.
When completed, the Elora Mill Residences will be five-storeys with 136 units. MacIntrye said there are nine units remaining for sale.
The condo building is one part of a planned redevelopment of the south side of the Grand River by Elora Mill parent company Pearle Hospitality. A further six buildings are planned to be built or restored.
MacIntyre said the next phase will be the restoration of the Walser building.
