TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON

CENTRE WELLINGTON – What do you love about centre wellington?

The Township of Centre Wellington has a question for everyone who lives, works, and plays in our community: what does culture mean to you?

From Feb. 14 to 28, the township is inviting citizens to participate in an online survey and share their passion and idea about what culture means to our community at ConnectCW.ca/culture.

“We have such a wide range of cultural activities in our community,” reflected township Mayor Watters. “Our arts, music, food, sporting and historical events and activities are the envy of communities much larger than ours. We want to hear from everyone in Centre Wellington about their ideas and thoughts on culture. This input will help us better understand how we can support the arts, creative, sporting, and social activities that help us build community.”

Culture can be defined by how we connect with one another and what we do together. For Centre Wellington residents, this includes activities like art, sports, music, food, and theatre. It also can include languages, how we describe our community to others, the traditions we share and how we learn from one another.

The township is interested in learning more about culture in our community to better understand the social, well-being and economic impact it makes on how we live, work and play.

The township has created a simple survey for citizens, and as a thank you to those who participate in the survey, the township has some great prizes to give away. Everyone who responds will be entered to win tickets for local cultural events happening in 2023, including two weekend passes to Riverfest Elora, two tickets to Adrian Sutherland at the Fergus Grand Theatre, and two gift certificates for Distillery Tours at Elora Distilling Company!

The survey is now open at ConnectCW.ca/culture and will close on. Feb 28.
