Wellington County is accepting applications for its annual Community Grants Programme, inviting local not-for-profit organizations to seek funding for initiatives that make a difference in local communities.

Through the Community Grants Programme, Wellington County provides eligible applicants with up to $2,000 to assist with projects that provide meaningful benefits to the community and enhance the quality of life for residents.

“Wellington County Council is committed to fostering community engagement and supporting the invaluable work being done by local organizations,” said Wellington County Warden Andy Lennox. “This programme provides essential financial assistance to empower those who are dedicated to creating positive change in our communities.”

The Community Grants Programme supports many initiatives, from cultural events and recreational activities to educational programming and social services. Grants can help cover costs associated with project materials, operational expenses, and other necessary resources that contribute to the success of community-oriented efforts.

Eligible applicants must operate as a not-for-profit organization with a formal structure, such as a Board of Directors or similar committee. Additionally, the proposed project must deliver services or products that directly benefit residents.

Wellington County encourages organizations to take advantage of this opportunity to secure funding for impactful projects. The deadline for applications is Nov. 30.
