PUSLINCH – More properties are on deck for heritage designation in 2025.

Approving pre-budget project costs of approximately $25,000 during a special council meeting Tuesday morning, Puslinch council has endorsed the proposed heritage designation of 26 priority properties to ensure the work can begin later this fall.

According to staff, this money will be split between $2,600 for peer reviews of the Statements of Heritage Cultural Value and/or Interest and $13,910 for registration of the destination bylaws on the title.

The Heritage Advisory Committee previously recommended the properties for designation at its special meeting in June.

Post-designation, 43 properties will remain on the township’s heritage register for the council's consideration.

Staff said no objections have been received so far concerning the properties to be designated.

Property owners will be notified of the designation plan on Sept. 6. A heritage designation open house will take place on Nov. 6.
