On February 7, 2023, the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a fraud. The victim advised that their bank card had been lost and that it had been used at several businesses in Wellington North Township. Approximately $300 worth of purchases had been made using the victim's bank card.
As a result of an investigation a Wellington North woman has been charged with two counts of fraud under $5,000. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on April 14, 2023.
