Fergus man charged with intimate partner violence

Accused has been released from custody prior to next court appearance Dec. 6.

Wellington County OPP has charged a Fergus resident with two criminal charges under the Criminal Code in relation to an intimate partner violence investigation.

On Nov. 4, just after 10:15 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of a disturbance at an address in Fergus.

As a result of the investigation, a 41-year-old of Fergus, has been charged under the Criminal Code with the following:

  • Assault - spousal (two counts)

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph on Dec. 6.
