Arthur woman charged with assault in intimate partner violence case

WELLINGTON NORTH TWP — On Sept. 24, 2024, at approximately 2 p.m., The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) launched an investigation into an incident of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) in the Township of Wellington North.

As a result of the investigation, a 33-year-old female from Arthur, has been charged under the Criminal Code with the following:

  • Assault - Spousal, contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Assault with a Weapon - Spousal, contrary to the Criminal Code

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph, at a later date.
