1936 - 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Merv, who left this world at the age of 88, having lived a life full of adventure, independence, and love. A devoted husband, father, and friend, he embraced every moment with a spirit of curiosity and a determination to walk his own path.
Born in Fergus, Merv had an insatiable love for travel, exploring the world with open arms and an open heart. He found joy in the journey as much as the destination.
Beyond his travels, Merv was strong-willed and kind-hearted. He shared 62 years with his wife Ann, with whom he built a life rich in memories. As a father, he instilled in his children the values of independence and resilience, and gave them the courage to chase their dreams, just as he had done.
Though he has embarked on his final journey, his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He is survived by Ann, his children Craig, Philip and Christopher and his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honour his memory by embracing the spirit of adventure and take that trip, follow your dreams, and live life your own way, just as he did.
Rest in peace, Merv. Your journey continues in our hearts.
