Eric Beedham, a dedicated craftsman, adventurer, and loyal friend, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, in the arms of his loved ones in his 33rd year. Forever loved and cherished in the hearts of his parents, Keith and Debbie; brothers Tom (Alex Kruger), Scott, and Kyle (Jessica Thompson); grandmother Marlene Bilton; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Lost without him are his beloved dogs, Ember and Luna. His passion for his craft and care for others will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Born in Mississauga before moving to Georgetown at an early age, Eric was a man whose love for dogs, woodworking and the outdoors was rivaled only by his natural curiosity, adventurous spirit, and his endless drive to learn new skills. After completing high school, he studied at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, earning a certificate in entrepreneurial studies and a bachelor's degree in outdoor recreation, specializing in leadership. His journey then led him to Algonquin College in Perth, where he learned his craft studying heritage carpentry and joinery. Eric's dedication to his work earned him the annual award for academic excellence, as well as recognition for his outstanding achievements in timber framing and joinery. He travelled far and wide camping, dogsledding, hiking, ice climbing, and portaging, continuing to learn and share his skills.

Upon completing his formal education, Eric returned to his roots in Southern Ontario, where he supported his parents with their home improvements in Fergus using his sharp eye for detail and worked as a lead hand and woodworker at Amberwood Doors in Etobicoke. Eric took on custom side jobs and eventually struck out on his own, establishing Grand Architectural Millwork in 2022. A practical and creative soul, he bought his own home this past March, where he poured his heart into building a workshop before renovating the living space. Known for his endless projects, Eric envisioned and completed far more than we can list, leaving a legacy of plans and dreams for others to carry forward.

Visitation will be held at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd, Georgetown, Friday, February 7, 2025 from 5-8 PM, and Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 12-1 PM followed by a Celebration of Life in the chapel at 1 PM.
